Privacy notice

How Aquaclean handles information when you enquire about cleaning, apply to work with us or use this website.

Last updated: 29 October 2026.

Who we are

Aquaclean is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Our postal address is 15 Brookleaze, Sea Mills, Bristol BS9 2ET. To ask about your information, use our contact form, call 0771 245 9833, or write to us at this address. Please say that your enquiry concerns privacy.

Information you give us

When you ask for a quote or contact us, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company name, property postcode, cleaning requirements, preferred schedule and messages. You can also choose to upload property photographs. Please avoid including people, vehicle registration numbers, access codes or other unnecessary personal information in photographs or messages.

Job applications

Our application form asks for your name, email address, telephone number, work preference, availability, relevant experience and reasons for applying. Please only include information relevant to the role. We use these details to assess and respond to your application; an application does not guarantee employment.

Why we use your information

We use enquiry and property details to respond, assess the work, prepare quotes, arrange cleaning and communicate about services. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract, or book a service, the relevant basis is taking those steps or performing the contract. For business enquiries and ordinary correspondence, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and communicating about our cleaning business. We use application information to take steps towards a possible employment contract and to manage recruitment. We also have a legitimate interest in protecting the website, preventing misuse and keeping appropriate records, and may need to retain records to meet legal obligations.

Information needed to respond

The forms indicate which fields are required. If you do not provide the details needed to assess an enquiry or application, we may be unable to respond or progress it. Optional property photos and optional fields do not need to be supplied.

Who can access your information

Enquiries and applications are stored in our website systems and notification emails are sent to the business. Access is needed by the people handling your enquiry, service or application and by service providers supporting website hosting, maintenance, email and backups. Information may also need to be shared with professional advisers or public authorities where necessary to meet legal obligations or deal with a claim. We do not use the website forms to ask for payment-card information.

How long we keep information

We decide how long to keep information according to why it was collected and whether it is still needed. For enquiries that do not lead to work, the relevant criteria are whether the enquiry and any follow-up have been completed and whether a complaint or dispute needs to be resolved. For customer records, we also consider the duration of the service relationship and applicable accounting or legal record-keeping requirements. For unsuccessful job applications, the criteria are whether recruitment has concluded and whether the information is needed to deal with questions or claims about that process. Information should be deleted or anonymised when these purposes no longer apply. This approach covers form entries, uploaded photographs and related correspondence; Google Analytics retention is described separately below.

Website technology, cookies and external services

The website uses WordPress and online forms. Technical information, such as an IP address, browser details and the page used to submit a form, may be processed by the website and hosting systems for operation, security and troubleshooting. Essential cookies or similar technology may be used to support website functions. The site displays Google review content and links to Google, Facebook and X. Those services have their own privacy information and may receive technical information when their content is loaded or you follow a link.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand visits and improve our website. Analytics can process information about pages viewed, interactions, referral sources, device and browser details, approximate location and online identifiers.

Our Google Analytics property has Google Signals and user-provided data collection turned off. Event data retention is set to 2 months and user data retention to 14 months, with the user retention period reset by new activity. These settings do not control the retention of aggregated reports. Google processes information through its international infrastructure; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s international data-transfer information.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These controls do not delete enquiries or applications already sent to us; contact us if you want to make a request about those records.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, have it erased, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. We may need information to verify your identity. Some requests are subject to exceptions, including where records must be retained for legal reasons. If we rely on consent for a particular use, you can withdraw it without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.

Your right to object

You can object to the use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests, explaining your circumstances. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Contact us using the details above to make a request.

Questions or complaints

Please contact us if you have a concern about your information so that we can investigate. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.

We will update this notice when the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top identifies the most recent update.
